Job Summary

The Feed Mill Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations of feed mill equipment. The role requires detecting mechanical and electrical issues, maintaining detailed records of work performed, and ensuring compliance with all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations.

Essential Duties

• Repair mechanical malfunctions in the feed mill
• Detect potential electrical or mechanical problems
• Ensure equipment functions properly
• Document actions taken to resolve equipment issues
• Respond to breakdowns and emergencies
• Lubricate equipment
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports

Additional Duties

• Operate a forklift
• Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in feed mill maintenance or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb ladders, and operate a pallet jack with 2000 pounds of material
• Ability to work at heights up to 200 feet and in confined spaces
• Unload rail cars and trucks
