Job Summary

The Feed Mill Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of equipment related to the feed mill. The role requires detecting potential mechanical and electrical issues, maintaining detailed records of work performed, corrective actions, and parts used. The Maintenance Mechanic must adhere to all company policies and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Essential Duties

• Repair mechanical malfunctions in the feed mill
• Identify potential electrical or mechanical problems
• Ensure equipment functions properly
• Document corrective actions and maintenance activities
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency situations
• Lubricate equipment
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports

Additional Duties

• Operate a forklift
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in feed mill maintenance or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb ladders, and operate a pallet jack with 2000 pounds capacity
• Ability to work at heights up to 200 feet and in confined spaces
• Unload rail cars and trucks
