Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Danville, AR seeks a forklift-friendly associate to unload incoming ingredient trucks and place materials into bins, maximizing space. You will perform housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and quality checks while ensuring trucks depart empty and compliance with FSMA and GMP regulations.

Responsibilities include operating the auto-receiving system, sampling ingredients, rotating stock, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (proportions, percentages, area, volume).
• Possess basic computer knowledge and usage abilities.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to communicate effectively, and read and write legibly.
• Possess sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
• Previous feed mill experience.

• Communicate and coordinate batching schedule and production with appropriate personnel maximizing efficiency while following FDA, GMP and QC procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Communicate equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Perform routine housekeeping ensuring designated areas are kept clean.
• Operate forklift as necessary.
• Comply with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal laws, and regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
• Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend.
• Frequently climb stairs and 50+ foot ladders.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 - 100 lbs.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Constantly subject to dusty, hot environments.
• Frequently work in loud environment requiring ear protection.
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Ability to work at heights of 200+ ft.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack with 2,000+ lbs. of material.
