Job summary

Iowa Select Farms is seeking an Assistant Feed Logistics Coordinator to oversee feed ordering and budget planning for our swine operations. The role collaborates with site teams to ensure timely, accurate feed procurement.

Responsibilities include managing orders, coordinating feed transfers, and maintaining records. A bilingual English/Spanish communicator with experience in swine operations is preferred. This on-site role requires reliability.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, written and verbal.
• Experience with swine production operations or feed logistics is desirable.
• Computer literacy with Excel, Word, Access and browsers.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple phone calls, emails and process feed orders daily with minimum amount of error’s
• Be accessible and responsive to phone calls and emails in a timely manner
• Multitask and prioritize items throughout the day
• Setup and manage group feed budgets to insure proper feed comes from the correct vendor
• Assist in ordering the correct amount of feed to finish a group of animals out in order to minimize feed transfers
• Coordinate all feed transfers from closed groups to another appropriate group
• Assist in identifying sites needing feed to minimize late order charges.
• Work with sites to have optional delivery days to help feed mills even their daily tonnage out throughout the week
• Maintain accurate written and computer records as required.
• Demeanor is expected to be always positive and professional while being helpful, friendly and respectful to team members and management personal.
• Daily focus should be on success of the company, not personal issues.
• Be at work on scheduled days and ready to work by given start time as attendance is critical to the success of this position.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
