Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Deliver bulk feed to the correct location, load and unload trucks safely.
  • Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain equipment and sanitation.
  • Perform flushing and sequencing of feeds according to quality bulletins and GMPs.
  • Maintain production and FDA records and finish customer bills promptly.
  • Record weights and ensure inspection/log documents are up to date.
  • Complete driving and inspection logs daily; conduct safety checks.

This position will work extensively with cooperative customers, ensuring that the highest level of service is provided. You must be customer focused, hardworking, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Duties And Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver bulk feed to the correct location, load, and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently, assuring accuracy and high quality
  • Responsible for equipment maintenance and sanitation.
  • Responsible for performing proper flushing and sequencing of feeds according to Quality
  • Bulletins and GMP’s. Maintain accurate production and FDA records.
  • Responsible for assuring proper weights are recorded, that customer bills are produced and provided to customers in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for proper inspection and documentation. All required driving and inspection logs are to be completed daily and kept up to date. Visual and safety inspections are to be performed at the start of the shift and appropriately recorded.
  • Responsible for final inspection of feed shipments. Feed is to be inspected and sampled at the time of loading.

Education And Experience
  • High School graduate or GED; may be offset by experience.
  • Previous industry experience helpful but not required.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
