Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. in Michigan seeks a dependable feed transport and production associate. You will deliver bulk feed, load/unload trucks, mix and prepare livestock feeds, and ensure high quality while maintaining safety.

The role requires ability to work alone or in a team, operate a forklift, maintain accurate records, and perform inspections and sanitation. Outdoor/indoor work in varied climates with GMP/FDA documentation focus.

Qualifications

  • Customer-focused and hardworking with strong verbal and written communication.
  • Able to operate a forklift and follow safety procedures.
  • Experience with handling bulk feed or similar materials is beneficial.
  • Follows GMPs and maintains production and FDA records accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver bulk feed to designated locations and load/unload trucks safely.
  • Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently with accuracy.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and sanitation.
  • Complete required driving and inspection logs daily and record weights.
  • Inspect and sample feed shipments during loading and ensure proper documentation.

Job DescriptionOverview:This position will work extensively with cooperative customers, ensuring that the highest level of service is provided. You must be customer focused, hardworking, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Duties and Responsibilities:Include but are not limited to:Deliver bulk feed to the correct location, load, and unload trucks in a safe and efficient mannerMix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently, assuring accuracy and high qualityResponsible for equipment maintenance and sanitation.Responsible for performing proper flushing and sequencing of feeds according to QualityBulletins and GMP’s. Maintain accurate production and FDA records.Responsible for assuring proper weights are recorded, that customer bills are produced and provided to customers in a timely manner.Responsible for proper inspection and documentation. All required driving and inspection logs are to be completed daily and kept up to date. Visual and safety inspections are to be performed at the start of the shift and appropriately recorded.Responsible for final inspection of feed shipments. Feed is to be inspected and sampled at the time of loading.Skills and Qualifications:Follow all company policies, procedures, and adherence to safety requirements.Ability to work alone and within a team.Communicate any potential issues that may be identified with feed or customers.Working in outdoor and indoor elements, not always climate controlled.Knowledge of Microsoft Office.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Education and Experience:High School graduate or GED; may be offset by experience.Previous industry experience helpful but not required.Must be able to operate a forklift.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
