Job summary

CWT Farms is seeking a responsible individual to support flock management in our poultry operations. The role includes weighing birds, recording data, and assisting with equipment setup, cleaning, and biosecurity practices across farm sites.

The candidate should be comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends, and must hold a valid drivers license with willingness to travel between locations to support multiple farms.

Responsibilities

• Weigh birds and collect data using pen and paper or a tablet
• Assist with setup and breakdown of poultry house equipment
• Clean and disinfect equipment, waterers, feeders and cages
• Record bird weights, feed, mortality and other data as instructed
• Monitor bird health and report issues to supervisor
• Perform routine housekeeping and segregate birds as directed
• Support biosecurity and safety protocols across farms

Job Description Summary:We are seeking an outstanding individual who will be responsible and accountable for FCR in the poultry industry. This will be involved with weighing birds, setup and breakdown of equipment, and also cleaning of equipment and any other jobs necessary.Job Description:Applicants are not allowed to own any kind of birds due to the risk of possible disease transmission.Job Duties:Collect Data and Perform House Checklist within Feed Conversion Houses performing the following weigh chickensRecord and add feed to feeders as neededCollect data with pen and paper and/or on a computer or tabletCheck bird’s overall health following the accepted protocolsDispose of dead birds as instructedFeed birds according to schedulesClean and disinfect house equipment, waterers, feeders and cagesPerform routine housekeeping dutiesSegregate birds according to line and sex as instructedRemove and place birds in cages according to schedulesExamine birds for signs of illness and report any problems to lead or managerMonitor controls and thermostats that regulate temperature and humidity of the poultry houseRecord information according to instructions such as bird weight, feed, added feed, and mortality; repair, align, and construct cages, pens or equipment (feeders, water lines, lights, vents, etc.)Qualifications:Team orientedBasic computer skillsAbility to work Flexible Hours including some weekendsMust be a Self-Motivator with ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiencyGood communication, organizational skills, and interpersonal skillsCurrent Drivers LicenseWilling to travel from farm to farmThe following duties will vary according to the needs of the department.
