Job summary

The Sebring Community Based Outpatient Clinic, part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks a Fee Basis Physician in Primary Care. The physician will perform comprehensive histories, exams, diagnoses, and treatment of medical conditions for adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities include documenting in the EMR, ordering labs, prescribing treatments, and participating in care teams, with flexibility for short-notice duties and appropriate referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an approved medical school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with board eligibility.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Eligible for fee-basis appointment in VA system.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to eligible Veterans.
• Conduct histories, exams, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostics; prescribe medications.
• Participate in team care planning within the Patient Aligned Care Team.
• Document encounters in the electronic medical record per VHA policy.
• Refer to specialists or community resources as needed.
• Adapt to short-notice clinical duties and urgent needs.
