Job summary

Cisco ThousandEyes FedRAMP team is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to manage the Federal region with high availability, performance, and security for large data streams in a cloud-native AWS environment.

You will implement an everything-as-code approach, maintain FedRAMP compliance with automated controls, and collaborate with development and security teams to scale multi-region infrastructure across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field with relevant work experience.
• Experience building or operating infrastructure in highly regulated environments with security controls.
• Ability to write high-quality code in Python or Go or equivalent languages.
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems, kernels, libraries, filesystems, and client-server protocols.
• Knowledge of AWS and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Puppet, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations and architecture of the Federal region to ensure peak availability and security.
• Implement an everything-as-code strategy for resilient cloud-native services.
• Maintain FedRAMP compliance through automated security controls and continuous auditing.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to optimize multi-region infrastructure.
