Job summary

California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) seeks a Student Assistant to gain hands-on experience in customer service, office administration, and financial operations on campus. You will handle inquiries, cashiering, and support staff with essential tasks while representing the department at orientations and advising fairs.

Responsibilities include in-person, phone, and email service; clerical support; campus event representation; and accurate cash handling.

Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow instructions and communicate effectively.
Special Qualification: Admission or registration as a CSU student.
Maintain a 2.0 GPA per semester and cumulative; enroll at least halftime (CSUSB).
International students must have full-time enrollment (CSUSB).
Payroll requirement: Social Security Card.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service in person, over the phone, and by email.
Assist with clerical functions (filing, scanning, organizing, deliveries).
Represent Student Financial Services at campus events (orientation, advising fairs).
Cashier at the SFS window or campus events.
Serve as custodian of cash transactions and assist staff with daily tasks (payroll, warrants, dunning letters).
Other duties as assigned.
