Job summary

Academy of Art University is seeking a Federal Work-Study Student Assistant to support the Student Financial Services team. The role emphasizes outreach, document management, and administrative projects that promote student success and financial aid completion.

Responsibilities include outbound calls to FAFSA completion reminders, basic data entry in the SFP system, and assisting with trackers, reports, and other tasks to boost operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Currently enrolled and maintaining satisfactory academic progress.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Comfortable conducting outbound phone calls and providing excellent customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information in accordance with university policies and federal regulations.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software systems.

  • Assist managers with special projects including trackers, spreadsheets, and reports to support operational efficiency and project management.

The Federal Work-Study Student Assistant supports the Student Financial Services department by assisting with student outreach, document management, and administrative projects that promote student success and financial aid completion.

Pay Rate :

$19.61 per hour


Application Deadline:

Work Schedule:

Between 5 and 20 hours per week.


Federal Work Study schedules can work up to 20 hours per week*


*Federal Work Study work schedules may not conflict with the student’s class schedule.

Length of Employment: The student’s starting term at the Academy of Art University through graduation.
