Job Summary:

To assist teachers in implementing a developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Cleared background check through the state of IL (provided)
  • Cleared medical exam inclusive of TB Test and proof of Tdap and MMR Vaccines (provided if needed)
  • Willing to participate in 40 hours of training the 1st month of employment and additional trainings throughout the year as needed.
Essential Duties:
  • Assist teachers in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Supervise individual and group play for children.
  • Participate in all activities with children including but not limited to reading, large and small motor activities.
  • Assist with routine care of children including feeding, hand washing, toileting, etc.
  • Supervise outdoor play time.
  • Assist teachers by setting out and helping the children with activities.
