SiloSmashers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support a federal law enforcement client in Washington, DC.

The writer will develop, write, and edit material for reports, manuals, briefs, technical specifications, instruction books, catalogs, and related publications concerning work methods and procedures. The role involves coordinating graphics, proofreading for standards, creating executive-level presentations, and updating content for brochures and websites, while interfacing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years federal technical writing experience (8+ years may waive).
• 4+ years of exceptional MS Office writing/editing proficiency.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize requests.
• Meticulous attention to detail and professional correspondence.
• Self-sufficient, independent, ownership of projects.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Write a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses.
• Coordinate the display of graphics and the production of documents with the customer.
• Assist with proofing, standardizing, and editing documents to ensure content is of high quality and conforms with standards.
• Help create presentations as well as format and prepare documents for executive-level presentations.
• Create and update content for brochures, briefings, technical papers, and unit and/or section website.
• Develop communications consistent with Procurement Section messaging to be disseminated on behalf of the Section Chief and/or Assistant Section Chief.
• Provide recommendations for communication content, and delivery method to include updating PowerPoint slides and section internal and external SharePoint site.
• Supports leadership team in preparing presentation slides and materials by gathering metrics, informational data, and compiling information into a comprehensive presentation.
