Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Federal Tax Senior Associate in Boca Raton, FL. You will deliver industry-focused tax advisory and compliance services to middle-market clients, partnering with engagement teams to support growth and excellence in client service.

You will collaborate on tax research, ASC740 matters, and cross-practice projects while mentoring junior staff and building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or law; CPA and/or Bar eligibility in state considered.
• CPA or JD license preferred.
• 2+ years of federal tax compliance and consulting in a public accounting firm.
• Strong time management, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, collaboration, and problem solving.
• Leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills; initiative and adaptability.
• Microsoft Suite skills; highly developed software skills.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients.
• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations.
• Participate in tax research projects and draft IRS responses.
• Collaborate on projects in corporate and flow-through taxation such as ASC740.
• Develop recommendations for the client and share with leadership.
• Communicate with specialty tax practices on state/local, international, credits and incentives.
• Learn and grow through on-the-job coaching and development programs.
• Network and build strong relationships internally and with your clients.
• Support growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
