Globe Life Insurance Company is offering a Federal Tax Intern position for Summer 2027 in McKinney, TX. This full‑time, 40‑hour‑per‑week internship runs June 7 through August 13, 2027, and provides hands‑on exposure to corporate tax functions within a large insurance group.

You will assist with federal and state tax compliance, tax provision work, and various domestic and international form preparations while collaborating with experienced tax professionals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Coursework or foundational knowledge in taxation is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with partnership K-1 tracking and taxable income calculations.
• Prepare international tax forms, including IRS Forms 926, 8621, and 8865.
• Support Q2 2027 federal income tax provision work.
• Prepare federal compliance forms, including Form 8975, Form 8925, Form 8858, and Form 8621.
• Prepare tax depreciation schedules and reconcile them to book depreciation.
• Prepare Texas public information reports and assist with other state filings.
• Research federal tax issues and document tax planning and compliance solutions.
• Develop knowledge of tax law changes and industry best practices.
