Globe Life And Accident Insurance Company is offering a Federal Tax Intern role for Summer 2027 in McKinney, TX. This full-time internship provides hands-on exposure to corporate tax functions within a large insurance group.

You will work with experienced tax professionals on federal/state compliance, tax provision work, and international form preparation, June through August 2027, 40 hours per week on-site.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Tax coursework or foundational knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with partnership K-1 tracking and taxable income calculations.
• Prepare international tax forms (IRS 926, 8621, 8865).
• Support Q2 2027 federal income tax provision work.
• Prepare federal compliance forms (Form 8975, 8925, 8858, 8621).
• Prepare tax depreciation schedules and reconcile to book depreciation.
• Assist with state filings and monthly use tax returns.
• Research federal tax issues and document planning and compliance solutions.
• Develop knowledge of tax laws and best practices.

Role Overview:

Could you be our next Federal Tax Intern ? Globe Life is looking for a Federal Tax Intern to join the team in Summer 2027 !

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Globe Life's tax department with federal and state income tax compliance, tax provision work, and a variety of domestic and international tax form preparation. You will work closely with experienced tax professionals to gain meaningful, hands-on exposure to corporate tax functions within a large insurance group. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position running from June through August 2027.

This is an on-site position located in McKinney, TX.

What You Will Do:

• Assist with partnership K-1 tracking and taxable income calculations.
• Prepare international tax forms, including IRS Forms 926, 8621, and 8865.
• Support Q2 2027 federal income tax provision work.
• Prepare federal compliance forms, including Form 8975 (Country-by-Country Reporting), Form 8925, Form 8858, and Form 8621.
• Prepare tax depreciation schedules and reconcile them to book depreciation.
• Prepare Texas public information reports and assist with other state filings, including monthly use tax returns.
• Research federal tax issues and document tax planning and compliance solutions.
• Develop knowledge of tax law changes and industry best practices.

What You Can Bring:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Coursework or foundational knowledge in taxation is preferred.
