Workday, Inc. is seeking a Director of Strategic Initiatives for its Government business to drive Federal-focused programs and ensure alignment across engineering, product, and customer teams.

The role emphasizes strategic direction, risk management, and executive collaboration. You will partner with Finance, Compliance, and Industry Strategy to enable growth while ensuring security and regulatory requirements are embedded in roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strategic, operational, or enablement experience.
• Experience with large-scale cloud SaaS product, engineering, compliance and platform teams.
• Bachelor's degree or higher required
• Experience working with customers, Customer Success, Implementation teams, and external partners
• Proven ability to bring products to market on time with high customer satisfaction
• Experience owning or supporting budget planning and financial tracking for a business unit, program, or initiative portfolio
• Thoughtful people leader with a track record of building cohesive matrixed teams

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate strategic direction for Government initiatives.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Technical Product leadership for federal compliance and security.
• Own portfolio visibility, tracking milestones, and reporting status to leadership.
• Partner with Federal Product & Compliance and Industry Strategy teams to support sales and planning.
• Lead internal communications for the Product team and Government vertical.
• Build relationships with senior leaders across Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales to align objectives.
• Coordinate key meetings across the Federal Industry vertical.
