Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a safety or related field required.
• Level 1 SSHO per EM 385-1-1 required or equivalent
• OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required
• HAZWOPER training and 8-hour refresher required
• Experience with AHAs and safety documentation systems preferred

Aufgaben

• Serve as the Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) on federal projects throughout California
• Manage and implement project safety and occupational health requirements
• Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 and applicable OSHA standards
• Develop, review, and evaluate Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
• Conduct safety orientations, meetings, and employee training
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions
• Monitor fall protection, confined space, excavation, electrical, respiratory protection, and other high-risk activities
• Support HAZWOPER activities and hazardous waste investigation or cleanup projects as assigned
• Conduct or support exposure monitoring and sampling activities
• Evaluate exposure data and assist with selection and adjustment of controls
• Maintain required safety documentation, training records, and inspection reports
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action management
• Communicate safety requirements with project leadership, subcontractors, and field personnel
