Job summary

LARC Staffing is seeking a Solutions Architect, Federal with active Secret clearance for Huntsville, AL. You will define the target-state architecture and design end-to-end technical solutions aligned with mission goals, while guiding development teams through the full software lifecycle.

You will engage with leadership to apply emerging technologies, ensure security controls, and maintain alignment with NIST and RMF standards for DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in software engineering, technical architecture, or related hands-on role.
• Experience in U.S. Government or DoD IT environments.
• Business Process Engineer or analyst experience with architecture.
• Process improvement techniques (BPM, Lean, Six Sigma).
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or BPM credential is a plus.
• Cloud environments experience, IL4/IL5 preferred.
• Familiar with Agile and DevSecOps pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise target-state architecture and connect strategy to technology roadmap.
• Design end-to-end technical solutions for mission requirements and align with program strategy.
• Establish architectural standards, reference patterns, and best practices across the portfolio.
• Model and optimize business processes using BPMN to surface capability gaps.
• Collaborate to translate mission requirements into actionable designs and specs.
• Advise leadership on emerging technologies and modernization priorities.
• Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and architecture reviews with stakeholders.
• Oversee SDLC with focus on security, scalability, and maintainability.
