Job summary

Vasion, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to own defensible technical answers for federal customers and regulated deployments. You will define paths when standard answers don’t apply and stay deeply immersed in the product portfolio as it evolves.

The role emphasizes depth over breadth, owning authentication, network isolation, and accreditation constraints, with a focus on reusable designs and rigorous risk management in high-stakes environments.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years deploying infrastructure software in complex environments.
• Strong command of SAML, SSO, directory integration, and certificate-based auth.
• Networking and security fundamentals including DNS, TLS, firewalls, proxies.
• Experience with cloud/hypervisor platforms and virtual appliances.
• Scripting and automation skills at the command line.

Responsibilities

• Build depth on new capabilities ahead of demand and surface gaps.
• Be the technical authority on federal/regulated requirements and document limitations.
• Codify recurring patterns into reusable reference designs.
• Assess risk, define mitigations, and plan deployment feasibility.
• Design architecture and cutovers for complex environments beyond standard patterns.
• Handoff context with clear assumptions, constraints, and success criteria.
• Lead the toughest cutovers and diagnose root causes of issues.
• Convert friction into product/input improvements to prevent repeats.
