Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Software Developer/Engineer to perform hands-on software development and integration for the system’s components, including infrastructure, data tools, and user interfaces. This role involves translating system engineering designs into robust software solutions, ensuring quality and scalability.

The work includes designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining code, implementing security practices, and participating in Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, CS, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of software development and integration experience.
• Experience designing, coding, testing, and maintaining complex software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform software development and integration for system components.
• Translate system engineering designs into software designs.
• Design, implement, and maintain source code, Infrastructure-as-Code, and Configuration-as-Code.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards.
• Create comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
• Optimize code for performance and scalability.
• Integrate with APIs and external systems.
• Implement security best practices in code development.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement user interfaces.
• Work with database specialists to design and implement data models.
• Document code, APIs, and technical designs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and development practices.
