Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Software Developer – Mid to support a large-scale federal program operating in secure environments. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications enabling mission-critical operations within an Agile team.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years in complex enterprise apps, strong programming skills (Java, C#, .NET, Python, JS), and experience with secure coding and DevSecOps practices. Citizenship and TS clearance are required for this role.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Four (4)+ years of experience developing highly complex enterprise applications.
• Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) or ability to obtain and maintain certification.
• Experience using one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript.
• Experience developing and supporting database-driven applications and system integrations.
• Experience in Agile software development environments.
• Experience in secure, compliance-driven federal environments.
• Strong analytical, technical documentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications supporting mission-critical business processes.
• Develop application functionality using modern software development frameworks, tools, and programming languages.
• Build and maintain APIs, system integrations, data interfaces, and supporting application services.
• Participate in Agile software development activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, development, testing, and release support.
• Support DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and operational incidents.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, cybersecurity personnel, infrastructure engineers, and stakeholders to deliver integrated technical solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including design artifacts, test plans, release documentation, and operational procedures.
• Support implementation of secure coding practices and remediation of software security findings.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on software quality, maintainability, performance, and operational effectiveness.
