Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Security Authorization Lead to join the Air Traffic Business Area, supporting L-CAP within a SAFe/Agile framework. You will own the RMF/ATO lifecycle for L-CAP workloads, coordinate with FAA and government officials, and lead the security packaging and continuous monitoring efforts.

You will work in a hybrid role with onsite collaboration and remote work options, located near commutable distances to Gaithersburg, MD; Eagan, MN; or Egg Harbor Township, NJ, or 100% remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related field with 6+ years of cybersecurity or security authorization experience.
• Experience leading a federal information system through RMF to ATO or equivalent.
• Experience developing and defending authorization packages (SSP, POA&Ms, SARs, diagrams).
• Experience with FedRAMP cloud control inheritance, Customer Responsibility Matrices, vulnerability management, CVE disposition, and remediation tracking.
• Experience working with government security reviewers, ISSOs, and/or Authorizing Official staff.
• Ability to translate security requirements into actionable engineering backlog items.
• Strong government-facing security documentation writing skills.
• U.S. citizenship required with eligibility for FAA facility and information system access; continuous residency.
• Public Trust eligibility and background investigations].
• Security authorization experience for safety-critical systems and knowledge of SBOM and artifact provenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead government network connection and RMF/ATO authorization process for L-CAP workloads on government cloud infrastructure.
• Own and maintain the security authorization package including SBOMs, POA&Ms, and evidence artifacts.
• Define and defend security control inheritance across cloud, government, and Leidos layers.
• Serve as primary interface with government security reviewers, ISSOs, and Authorizing Official staff.
• Manage POA&M and continuous monitoring lifecycle, including findings and remediation milestones.
• Maintain authorization boundary as architecture evolves and translate requirements into engineering backlog items.
• Coordinate cross-ART compliance across four Agile Release Trains for consistent controls.
• Support FedRAMP and agency-specific authorization requirements across cloud environments.
