Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have uncorrected vision of 20/100 and be able to achieve 20/20 with correction.
• Hearing requirements: must hear whispered voice at 15 feet without aid.
• Must obtain and retain a Top-Secret Clearance.
• Must be at least 20 years old and able to be appointed before age 40.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the White House, Vice President residence, and designated facilities.
• Provide security for foreign missions and embassies and travel in support of heads of state.
• Enforce protective responsibilities under applicable federal law.
