U.S. Secret Service Police (Uniformed Division) Officers are tasked with protecting key facilities and venues for protectees. The role includes guarding the White House complex, the Vice President’s residence, and foreign missions, along with traveling in support of heads of state and enforcing protective duties under federal law.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens, undergo extensive training, and obtain Top-Secret clearance, with a 2-year trial period and possible career conversion after 3 years

Qualifications

• Must have uncorrected vision of at least 20/100, correctable to 20/20 in each eye.
• Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels in the specified ranges.
• Obtain a Top-Secret Clearance and retain it during your career.
• Register with the Selective Service System if male born after 1959.
• Be appointed under a Schedule B excepted appointment for 3 years and 120 days.
• Automatic credit check will be conducted during employment process.
• Possess a valid U.S. citizenship and meet all security requirements.

Responsabilités

• Safeguard the White House complex, the Vice President’s residence, and other designated facilities.
• Provide security for foreign missions and embassies and travel in support of heads of state missions.
• Enforce mandated protective responsibilities under Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 3056A.
