Job summary

Pond & Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Engineer or Architect) to join our Federal group in support of Air Force/Space Force programs. The role is based onsite in Cape Canaveral, FL four days per week with one remote day, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing design and construction activities.

The PM will lead meetings, review deliverables for constructability, monitor progress, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture.
• 5+ years in architecture, engineering, or construction, preferably Federal/DoD.
• 5+ years as a Project Manager.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design and construction projects.
• Knowledge of facilities design, contract management, and client relations.
• Experience with Federal contracting and procurement processes.
• DoD or Air Force experience preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in Cape Canaveral, FL four days a week with one remote day.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance.
• Ability to obtain security credentials/CAC and travel as required.

Responsibilities

About the Position

Pond is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager (Engineer or Architect) to join our growing, award-winning Federal group in support of our U.S. Air Force/Space Force program. This position will be based onsite (4 days per week) in Cape Canaveral, FL, supporting the management and execution of federal facility projects.

Successful Project Managers at Pond & Company operate with a team-based philosophy and are responsible for managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams, overseeing sub-consultants, and supporting projects throughout the design and construction lifecycle. The Project Manager will participate in project meetings and design charrettes, review engineering and design packages for constructability, monitor project execution, and help ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality and client requirements.

The position will also require regular field presence, including site visits, surveillance activities, and construction inspections to verify work is progressing in accordance with approved plans, specifications, installation standards, and project objectives.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture
• 5+ years of experience within an architecture, engineering, or construction organization, preferably supporting Federal or DoD clients
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager
• Experience managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary design and construction projects
• Thorough knowledge of facilities design and construction, contract management, project delivery, and client relationship management
• Experience reviewing engineering and design deliverables for constructability and compliance with project requirements
• Experience with Federal contracting, procurement processes, and procedures
• Air Force, Space Force, or other DoD experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and/or other relevant software
• Ability to work onsite in Cape Canaveral, FL four days per week, with one remote workday
• Occasional attendance at meetings and off-site events; must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
• Position may require occasional travel
• Must be able to travel internationally, if required, via passport or other official documentation
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC); access to federal installations may require additional security credentials and the ability to obtain a security clearance
