Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Arlington, VA is seeking a Project Manager I – Engineering to translate ambitious design visions into coordinated, high‑quality deliverables. You will lead multidisciplinary teams through production, align architects and engineers, navigate complex stakeholders, and drive construction documents from concept through delivery, managing the project lifecycle end to end.

You\'ll develop project scope and fees, support proposals and contracts, and supervise staff while monitoring

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Master’s degree in Engineering and related certifications are preferred.
PE, AICP, and PMP certifications are valued.
Experience managing project scope, budgets, and client communications is essential.

Responsibilities

Develop project scope and fee quotations and assist in technical proposals and contracts.
Serve as primary client liaison and manage project teams to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets.
Assist with client scoping and contract negotiations.
Perform technical tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production.
Lead development and execution of the project management plan.
Supervise and mentor team to achieve project objectives.
Collaborate with management on staffing, development, retention, and performance reviews.
Support business development and client relationship efforts.
