Job summary

DMI is seeking a Mid-Level Business Analyst for the Federal Program in Rockville, MD. The role focuses on requirements elicitation and sprint-level documentation, serving as the bridge between customer requirements and technical teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of BA experience in federal IT, proficiency with Jira/Azure DevOps, and strong documentation skills. Hybrid work arrangement in Rockville, MD with onsite expectation and 1 day remote.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience in federal IT or software development.
Proficient in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint backlog management.
Experienced with UAT coordination and defect triage in a federal IT environment.

Responsibilities

Lead requirements discovery and document functional and non-functional requirements.
Translate inputs into user stories, epics, and sprint-ready backlog items with acceptance criteria.
Maintain requirements & change logs using Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint.
Participate in sprint planning and clarify acceptance criteria for development teams.
Coordinate weekly stakeholder check-ins and document decisions and actions.
Develop test scenarios and coordinate UAT with stakeholders.
Update functional specs, wireframe annotations, and workflow narratives.
Distribute meeting minutes within 3 business days.
