FSA Federal is hiring a Paralegal/Legal Assistant III to support the USAO mission in Oxford, MS. You will assist attorneys, prepare discovery, manage witnesses, and draft legal documents, contributing to forfeiture-related actions.

Qualifications

This position requires a Paralegal Certificate or a High School Diploma with paralegal experience.

Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities are required.

Responsibilities

Assist attorney in reviewing case material and preparing digests with legal references.
Evaluate new and complex cases against standards to determine cases and actions.
Assist in determining probable cause, planning evidence collection and defenses.
Conduct legal research using databases and public records; interview agents.
Support pretrial discovery, organize summaries, and manage witnesses.
Draft pleadings, motions, and proposed orders; organize files and exhibits.
Summarize documents and proceedings to aid attorneys.
