Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and MD/DC/VA resident preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting federal agencies or defense organizations.
• Experience in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, or operating model design.
• Familiarity with FITARA, OMB A-11/A-130, FISMA, TIC 3.0, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent IT audits and current-state assessments for federal IT departments.
• Evaluate IT operations, infrastructure, and project delivery for compliance with standards.
• Conduct structured interviews with IT leadership and stakeholders.
• Review policies, SOPs, architecture documents, and dashboards.
• Perform lightweight reviews of monitoring tools, ITSM systems, and PPM tools.
• Analyze incident volumes, change success rates, and project delivery performance.
• Identify strengths and gaps; document root causes across people, process, tools, governance, and culture.
• Develop findings, recommendations, and a prioritized improvement roadmap.
• Prepare executive briefs and final audit reports; support KPI development and coaching.
