Job summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking a Mid-Level Audit/COOP Business Analyst to support FHFA audit, COOP, and related IT/cybersecurity assessments in a Washington, DC-based role. The analyst will document procedures, analyze evidence, identify control weaknesses, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

The role requires 3–5 years of federal IT audit experience, strong communication, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information systems, CS, IT, accounting, business admin, or related field.
• 3–5 years supporting federal IT audits, cybersecurity assessments, FISMA evaluations, COOP or related compliance.
• Experience maintaining audit documentation and evidence.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and DR tests/simulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, execution, and reporting of FISMA and OIG audits and IT/cybersecurity assessments.
• Evaluate information security controls for FISMA, NIST guidance, FHFA policies, and federal requirements.
• Collect, review, and maintain audit evidence and workpapers per federal standards.
• Coordinate with system owners, cybersecurity, and audit teams for documentation.
• Develop audit programs, test procedures, risk assessments, and evaluation methods.
• Track findings, POA&Ms, and remediation through closure.
• Prepare status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries of audit activity.
