Job summary

Halvik Corp is seeking a candidate to support a Federal customer in implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the customer's systems, data, and networks from cyber threats.

The position includes Information Assurance (IA) engineering activities to support cybersecurity posture and ensure compliance with Federal requirements, plus assessments, monitoring, and ongoing compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Business or related field, or Associate's with required experience and certification.
• 2+ years IT experience; ISSO experience preferred.
• Proficient in audits to ensure compliance with federal security requirements and in developing SSPs and security artifacts.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• CISSP or Security+ or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular security assessments of networks, systems, applications, and cloud environments.
• Develop or support incident response plans and conduct security training sessions.
• Monitor compliance with security standards, regs, and NTIA policies.
• Support continuous monitoring: vulnerability scans, log analysis, and remediation tracking.
• Prepare security assessment documentation (SAPs, SARs, POA&Ms) per NIST RMF.
• Validate remediation effectiveness through retesting and evidence review.
