Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Advisory Intern for our Federal Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk practice in Consulting. Start is Summer 2027, with emphasis on identifying controls, data analytics, and risk assessment across client engagements.

Qualified candidates are enrolled in a relevant program with a 3.0+ GPA, eligible for U.S. security clearance, and prepared to work on-site in McLean, VA, with commuting responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the specified degrees/majors.
• Must have a current GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Eligible for U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Help identify internal controls within business processes and conduct cyclical internal control testing.
• Assist with analytical reviews of key client processes and IT systems.
• Work on teams delivering data-driven risk solutions and improvement opportunities.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses related to fraud, forensics, insider threat, and supply chain risk.
• Support data collection through client interviews, system queries, and research.
• Assist with data analytics and visualization to present findings to leadership.
• Contribute to design and analysis of reports for team and client leadership.
