Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an experienced consultant to support federal internal control assessments, audit readiness, government audits, and process improvements for federal clients.

You will identify, document, and assess risk and internal controls in accordance with federal laws and standards, including OMB Circular A-123 and GAO Green Book. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 4+ years in accounting, internal controls, business, management, or operations.
• Experience with ICOFR, GAO/OMB knowledge preferred.
• Ability to obtain government suitability or security clearance.
• CPA, CGFM, CISA, PMP or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs ICOFR assessments, audit readiness, government audit, internal controls, and process improvement duties.
• Develops risks and control matrices, test plans, and reports.
• Leads walkthrough meetings and documents risks and controls.
• Remediates audit findings and develops remediation plans.
