Job summary

BDO USA, LLP seeks an experienced consultant to support ICOFR assessments, audit readiness, and process improvement for federal government clients. The role entails identifying risks and documenting internal controls in line with OMB Circular A-123 and GAO Green Book.

Responsibilities include preparing narratives, control matrices, and test plans; leading walkthroughs; and delivering remediation actions with guidance from engagement teams and client leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• Four or more years in accounting, internal controls, or operations.
• Experience with ICOFR, audit readiness, GAO/OMB regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs ICOFR assessments, audit readiness, and process improvement for federal clients.
• Prepares narratives, risks, control matrices, test plans, and reports.
• Identifies inherent and enterprise risks; conducts risk assessments.
• Leads walkthrough meetings and documents risks and controls.
• Remediates audit findings and develops remediation plans.
