Tamayo Federal Solutions LLC (TFS) is hiring a Human Resources and Recruiting Specialist to support full‑cycle recruiting and day‑to‑day HR administration. The role also touches personnel security, compliance, contract administration, invoicing, and process documentation in a growing federal contracting environment.

The successful candidate will move between detailed execution, independent research, and cross‑functional collaboration, working on‑site in Virginia Beach, VA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in HR, recruiting, or related multi‑function role.
• Experience in job‑description development, candidate outreach, screening, interviewing, and scheduling.
• Experience onboarding, employee records, HR administration, or employee services.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, research, judgment, confidentiality, and follow‑through.
• Ability to interpret requirements and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and HR software/tools; ability to learn new systems.
• On‑site work in Virginia Beach, VA; eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Commitment to obtain CDSE FSO cert within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle recruiting for funded openings and staffing needs.
• Develop accurate job descriptions from labor categories and contract requirements.
• Post positions, review applications, conduct outreach, pre‑screen, interview, and coordinate approvals.
• Build reusable talent pipelines for recurring labor categories and contract opportunities.
• Coordinate onboarding and maintain employee records; support HR processes across lifecycle.
• Provide professional support to employees at corporate, customer, and dispersed locations; ensure data quality.
• Utilize Paylocity and Microsoft 365 for ATS, onboarding workflows, reporting, and automation.
• Support security/compliance activities and CDSE/FSO requirements.
• Assist with contract tracking, invoicing, records management, and audit readiness.
• Document procedures and propose scalable improvements; collaborate with stakeholders.
• Align with company leadership and stakeholders for change management and continuous improvement.
