Job summary

Capex Construction, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee QA/QC programs for federal healthcare construction projects, including VA facilities. The QCM will lead inspections, maintain documentation, and coordinate with government personnel to ensure compliance with contract and federal standards.

The role requires experience with occupied healthcare renovations and commissioning processes, and it offers a pathway to advance quality leadership within a growing federal contractor

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction quality control experience or superintendent experience.
• Ability to travel full-time.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the project Quality Control Plan.
• Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.
• Coordinate and document quality control meetings.
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, and RFIs for compliance.
• Verify installation meets contract requirements and manufacturer standards.
• Track and manage deficiencies, punch lists, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate testing, inspections, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain quality control reports and project documentation.
• Interface directly with VA staff, CORs, COs, inspectors, and design teams.
• Verify subcontractor compliance with project quality requirements.
• Assist project teams with project closeout and turnover documentation.
• Support schedule and construction planning activities as needed.
