Job summary

REGENT is building a new category of vehicle, the Seaglider. We seek a Director of Government Relations - Regulatory to own our federal strategy related to certification and operations, deepen congressional and executive relationships, and position REGENT as a trusted voice in emerging transportation policy.

You’ll set the government relations agenda, advise leadership on where to engage, and drive relationships and advocacy that matter, translating complex technology into compelling policy

Qualifications

• Active Federal Network with current relationships on the Hill and federal agencies.
• Transportation Regulatory Experience with DHS/Coast Guard/DOT/FAA or similar.
• Authorization & Appropriations Fluency understanding FAA reauthorization and related cycles.
• Emerging Technology Advocacy credibility for new tech in policy spaces.
• Political & Executive Judgment to advise leadership on engagement strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead Regulatory Government Relations: own federal work for Seaglider certification and operations.
• Advance Regulatory & Policy Priorities with DHS, Coast Guard, DOT, FAA.
• Drive Federal Funding & Program Support through authorization and appropriations.
• Shape the Policy Environment for Seagliders with stakeholders and coalitions.
• Advise Leadership on engagement timing and strategic positioning.
• Partner Across the Company to align government relations with strategy.
