Job summary

REGENT is seeking a Director of Government Relations to lead its federal and state policy and advocacy for the Seaglider program. You will shape REGENT’s government relations strategy, engage with Congress, the executive branch, and defense stakeholders, and align policy with business growth.

Qualifications

  • Active Federal Network with real, current relationships on the Hill and across relevant executive branch agencies.
  • Defense Acquisition & Appropriations fluency including NDAA cycles, DoD budgets, and acquisition processes.
  • State-level government relations experience, building relationships with governors’ offices and legislators.
  • End-to-end government relations leadership from development to execution.
  • Emerging technology advocacy translating complex tech into policy.
  • Political and executive judgment to guide leadership on where to engage.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Defense Advocacy: lead government relations supporting REGENT’s defense growth, engage DoD stakeholders and congressional offices.
  • Build and own REGENT’s defense GR strategy, map stakeholders, funding pathways, and priorities.
  • Strengthen defense relationships across executive, legislative, agencies and services.
  • Advise leadership on engagement strategy and high-stakes government meetings.
  • Partner across Defense, BD, Marketing, Engineering, Legal to connect GR to company strategy and external comms.
