Job summary

Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys and the Office of the U.S. Attorneys seeks an Auditor to provide expert financial and investigatory analysis, including forensic accounting services, in investigations involving highly complex financial transactions.

You will join a team delivering Auditor support to the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina, collaborating with the Criminal Division's Economic Crimes Section on investigations, discovery, trial

Qualifications

Experience performing forensic accounting in investigations.
Ability to plan and conduct complex financial analyses for enforcement actions.
Experience communicating findings to attorneys and investigators.

Responsibilities

Apply specialized accounting concepts and auditing principles to identify fraud schemes and financial irregularities.
Plan and conduct complex financial analyses to support civil and criminal actions.
Examine and interpret financial data related to investigations and allegations.
Develop financial profiles and reconstruct records to support prosecutions.
Assist with witness interviews, discovery, and trial prep activities.
Prepare charts, reports, and demonstratives for court presentations.
Testify in court regarding methodologies and findings when required.
