Job summary

CGS is seeking a Financial Investigator to join our team providing legal support and investigative services to a large federal agency in Massachusetts. This full-time mid-level role emphasizes analytical rigor, evidence development, and collaboration with legal teams.

You will use commercial databases, prepare investigative reports, and assist in court proceedings, contributing to effective case resolution and government service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years experience in planning and conducting civil or criminal investigations involving misuse of funds.
• Knowledge of investigative techniques and use of information sources, including databases.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a background investigation and security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts investigations.
• Performs quantitative, qualitative, or other analysis of relevant facts.
• Prepares the results to support the mission.
• Develops and analyzes evidence from other investigators and legal sources for litigation.
• Generates and analyzes facts and data to advance prosecutorial objectives.
• Assists in presenting evidence and witness testimony as required.
• Prepares interim and final reports on investigation progress.
