Job summary

KPMG LLP seeks a Senior Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice in McLean, VA. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to identify business opportunities and design machine learning solutions that translate data into actionable insights for government clients.

You will lead AI engagements, work with data engineers on ETL pipelines, and leverage cloud platforms to deliver data-driven products, dashboards, and reproducible reports. U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of technical data science experience, preferably with U.S. Federal government consulting
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, R, Java, SQL and their open-source packages/libraries
• Experience developing Deep Learning models (CNN, RNN) and applications (object detection, text recognition, language modeling) and tools (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Fast.ai)
• Familiarity with big data open-source tools (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and web frameworks/UI platforms (Flask, Shiny, Django, Dash)
• Experience leveraging cloud services or cloud certifications (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus
• Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
• Applicant must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Collaborate multi-disciplinary teams to identify business opportunities and design ML/data science solutions
• Lead delivery of AI engagements following established processes and best practices
• Work with clients to understand business requirements and design data analytics solutions
• Ingest structured/unstructured data via ETL processes with data engineers
• Leverage diverse data sources to develop data-driven products and dashboards
• Perform exploratory data analysis and test hypotheses
• Develop machine learning, NLP, and statistical analyses; build reproducible reports
