Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Lead Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice in St. Louis, MO. The role focuses on data architecture, analytics, and ML model development across data discovery, ETL/ELT, and governance, with client workshops and cross-functional collaboration.

The position requires five years of data architecture experience, strong SQL, and on-site presence; U.S. Government Secret clearance is required. Travel to engagements will be necessary as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of Data Architecture/technical experience.
• Familiarity with Data Lake/Data Warehouse architecture and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with data governance and metadata management.
• Experience with data modeling tools (ERWin, ER Studio, Power Designer).
• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Willingness to travel; on-site presence in St. Louis, MO region.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of data supply chain projects and define objectives/deliverables.
• Lead workshops and innovation sessions with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Engage with clients to discover data sources and manage data requests; perform ETL/ELT processes.
• Develop analytics and ML models through all development phases.
• Define, monitor, and report key business metrics; design dashboards and reporting processes.
