Job summary

Workday Government is seeking a seasoned data privacy and cybersecurity attorney to support U.S. federal contracts, including FedRAMP and DoD IL accreditation. You’ll advise product, security, and engineering teams, draft government contracts, and manage regulatory obligations.

Ideal candidates will have a J.D., 8+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI w/CI Poly clearance. On-site presence in the DC/MD/VA area may be required.

Qualifications

• J.D. Degree and active membership in at least one state bar

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead counsel on data privacy and cybersecurity matters across the data lifecycle
• Own the legal strategy for FedRAMP authorization and DoD ILs
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, data processing agreements, and government contract vehicles
• Monitor evolving privacy and cybersecurity law and translate into practical guidance
• Lead incident response for data breaches and security incidents
• Advise executive leadership on data governance and risk management
