Job summary

val's services is seeking a Specialist Director in Federal Advisory who leads design and implementation of advanced cybersecurity solutions, focusing on Zero Trust architectures, secure cloud migrations, and integrated security controls within enterprise environments.

You will collaborate with senior architects to develop security frameworks aligned with federal standards, perform vulnerability assessments, manage ICAM/MFA, and drive SIEM use cases and incident response while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Eight years of cybersecurity engineering or solutions architecture experience, preferably federal/regulatory.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security, or Azure Security Engineer preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal security standards, cloud security controls, SIEM/SOAR platforms (Splunk, Cortex XSOAR), and IAM systems (Okta, CyberArk). U.S. Government Secret clearance is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior architects to design security frameworks aligned with federal standards.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and support secure cloud migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Manage identity and access solutions (ICAM, MFA) and develop SIEM use cases.
• Automate incident response and monitor for security threats.
• Ensure compliance with frameworks like NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP; provide guidance on security architecture and incident management.
