Job summary

The position is a term appointment not-to-exceed March 31, 2028, with potential extension or permanent placement subject to funds. The role will involve working on cases across Beaumont, Lufkin, Plano, Sherman, Texarkana, or Tyler, TX, and requires JD and active bar admission.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active bar admission.
• Preference for felony trial experience.
• Ability to articulate critical issues clearly.
• Strong oral and written communication and research skills.
• Ability to work professionally with attorneys, staff and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute federal crimes including immigration, drug trafficking, human trafficking and related offenses.
• Manage cases from investigation through trial.
• Collaborate with federal agencies and law enforcement across offices.
• Maintain professionalism and address conflicts of interest as required.
