Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction.
• Must reside in the district or within 25 miles thereof.
• Must register for Selective Service if applicable.
• Initial appointment subject to a favorable background investigation and other pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Partner with federal, state, and local law enforcement to manage criminal investigations and prosecutions.
• Advise federal agents on questions of law and Departmental policy.
• Recommend charging decisions and dispositions with regard to assigned cases.
• Research and draft all legal pleadings and be prepared to try cases in federal court.
• Investigate and pursue asset forfeiture related to prosecutions.
