Job summary

Centerra Group is seeking a Court Security Officer (CSO) to deliver protective services at/federal court facilities under a US Marshals Service contract. The CSO works under supervision, performing fixed-post, mobile or foot patrols, and may provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel.

Responsibilities include enforcing entry controls, surveillance, incident reporting and coordination with law enforcement, with duties across various post orders and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Fluently read, speak, comprehend and compose coherent reports in English.
• Must be able to meet medical/physical fitness requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the District's entry and identification system.
• Patrol court facilities and grounds according to post orders.
• Provide security presence in the courtroom and enforce federal law and judicial orders.
• Direct traffic and monitor access points as needed.
• Log and report incidents and emergencies per post orders.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and testify when required.
