Job summary

Role requires knowledge of FAR, MCACES/RSMeans, and strong quantitative skills. On-site work with strict adherence to federal guidelines and project delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction cost estimating, preferably with federal or government projects.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software such as RSMeans or MCACES.
• Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and USACE processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project plans, specs, and related docs to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Gather and evaluate data on labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to clarify project scope and resolve estimating issues.
• Prepare and present cost estimate reports to support proposals, budgeting, and negotiations.
• Maintain cost databases and estimating tools to reflect current market trends.
• Ensure compliance with USACE policies, federal regulations, and industry best practices.
• Participate in value engineering and risk analysis to optimize project costs.
