Job summary

ispace U.S. is seeking a Government Contracts Manager in the Washington, D.C. area to own the full lifecycle of federal contracts and establish policies, governance, and compliance as a prime contractor.

The role partners with Legal, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, and Program Management to minimize risk and translate contractual constraints into clear guidance for program managers. This hands-on position requires deep FAR/DFARS expertise and the ability to work across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in contract administration or related field; combination with experience considered.
• 8+ years of government contracts experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated industry.
• Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and NASA FAR Supplement with experience across FF P, CPFF, CPIF, IDIQ, OTA.
• Demonstrated negotiation experience with government customers or prime contractors.
• Must reside in the Washington, D.C. area.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment where precedent often doesn’t exist yet.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of federal contracts — proposal support, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeout, ensuring FAR/DFARS compliance.
• Lead contract negotiations, modifications, and amendments, including complex government contracts and teaming/subcontracting.
• Monitor performance, resolve issues, run risk assessments, and advise on contractual, financial, operational, and performance risks.
• Develop scalable policies, governance structures, and decision frameworks for a sophisticated federal prime contractor.
• Partner with US and global teams to strengthen contracting readiness and compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for federal contracting officers and partners, building compliant relationships.
